The bulbs? They look the same on both sides.

So before, both front and rear blinkers didn't work, I turned on the truck and only the rear incandescent blinkers work. To the rate I have set them at via the relay.

    Switchback LEDs are polarized though.

If they work with hazard than polarity is OK.

It doesn't need to "look ok" as long as it's not blown :)

Looks at the electrical - it is very, very simple (not like in newer generations with all computer shit).

    2003 Hazard.jpg

There are only three components: Hazard switch, Flasher and Turn switch. And wires of course. I marked hazard light related circuit in green, and turn related connections in red. If none of signal works (no let or right) that one of wires marked in blue are not right or there is internal damage to either hazard light switch or turn position switch.

    2003 Hazard.jpg

Either one easy to verify. As you see everything is inside the cabin under the dash so the wire next to ABS is not relevant.

It is also possible that you have some alarm installed and that screwed up the factory connections. I would diagnose from the power source:
    1. measure the voltage before and after the turn fuse. It should have 12V+ when Key is in "ON position"
    2. Measure the voltage on the hazard switch Pin 10 and 7 (should be 12V when hazard is in OFF position)
    3. Check connection on turn switch: it should have 12V on Pin 2 always and on either pin 1 or 3 when turn is switched left or right.

I don't see any other option. Of course assuming all plugs are connected and there is no alterations to the wiring.

Gonna be towing a boat this summer so I ordered the green HD fan clutch to replace my stock orange one.

Thanks, the rear blinkers work but the front don't. From what I see the blinkers aren't tied into the engine bay right by the cruise control are they?

I'm out of the loop on this one. What is the advantage of a different fan clutch? Is the green one from the Land Cruisers or something?

    Can you precise conditions:
Which lamps work when hazard switch is ON? All, only back? all except right front? None?

You can see I love challenging electrical shit :)

Haha this is all you man. Like a puzzle.
The front switchbacks don't work on neither hazards nor blinkers. Only both rears work on turn signal and hazards.

Then you can forget about the electrical diagram I posted - all works as should. So the problem is either with front wires (I doubt as it is really difficult to screw up both sides the same way without making short) or your bulbs vs housing.

Now you need to enlighten me about 2003 as what I see in the diagram does not make sense to me. FSM says that front parking are different from front turn signal. Other sources show you had originally 4157NALL bulb (orange, dual filament with flat base). If this is the case there could be two possible issues:

    1. There are two types of this socket:

    two versions 4157.jpg

For classic incandescent 4157 bulb it does not make a difference as as this bulb has low power filament connected between left-upper and right-lower contacts, and high power filament between left-lower and right-upper contacts. As for LED switchbacks it all depends on the design, some of them might actually blow fuse if they are not matched with the socket: Type1 LED switchback has connected left contacts together and they will blow marker fuse if put in socket type 2. If LED bulb is polarity dependent it may work in socket 1 but not in socket 2 (and vice versa).

If you are sure your socket matches the led switchback (it will not blow the fuse) there might be the second problem:

    2. I know some switchback LED bulbs (used for DRL and blinkers) require a power to the "white side" in order for the "orange site" to blink. So if you have front position light in front turn signal bulb (the white side) check if it works when you turn on the position lights. Also you may try to flip the LED in the socket to get correct polarity And again, if the socket type does not match the bulb you may blow the fuse as soon as you turn your markers on.

How do I know all that shit? I was converting front marker/turn bulbs in my wife's Nissan Versa Note to LED switchback in order to get the white marker and orange turn signal as such combination is required by Polish law (orange front marker is not allowed here). I did a lot of research in order to get the correct LED bulb for this socket.

Pulled out the bone saw and cut the outer tie rod jamb nut off. Then cut the tie rod in half and threw then diseased parts a ball joint and tie rod in the scrap bin. Short of replacing the rack the entire front end on this pig will be new. All OEM Toyota.
