Just ordered pro comp 6 inch lift. Currently running 17 inch wheels with 4 3/4 inch backspacing on 3 inch lift. Will i be able to run the 17s with 4 3/4 inch backspacing with the 6 inch on 35s?

4.75" backspace will be getting the tire closer to the upper control arm if the tires are wide. As for overall 35", couldn't tell you.

If you feel between the side of the tire and the UCA with the factory tires, you will see there is only about 1/2" of space between them.

As you probably know, the more back space the wheel has the closer it moves the tire inwards, or towards the frame of the vehicle.

I believe what you want is negative offset . Am I right ? This will push the wheel further from the suspension.

Thinking in the right direction. Doesn't have to be negative offset, just less offset than you currently have, assuming same wheel width. Another words, you could have +10 mm offset and still stick out further than the factory +25mm offset. 0mm offset simply means the mounting surface of the wheel is dead center of the wheel. Having something like -10 mm offset will have a very wide stance.

It's says there's an inch of space between the wheels. Going another .25 inches won't make a difference if it's already 4.5 max. Right?
