I read something recently about a run of Falken Wildpeaks that were not up to spec and were to be recycled or destroyed but some how made it to market . I would check their website for info .

2016 TRD OR suspension swap, plus wheelers aal and 1/4 top plate spacers. 1.5 front and about 2 in the rear. Had to remove flaps because of the new wheel offset. They stick out about 2 inches more than stock.

I just put a set of 265/75r16 on yesterday. They were quieter on the highway than I expected coming from the Dynapro HT. I went with the p-rated for the tread warranty. So far so good and a drastic improvement over stock. Bought mine from Pep Boys (only Falken dealer around) and ended up at $620 out the door. And FYI the p-rated that I got had a tread depth that measured 11/32.

What PSI are you all running in your 265/75/16s?

265/70/R17s (same overall size) I have 38 in the front and 35 in the rear. Might drop it a hair more. When I towed a U-Haul from MI to NY last weekend I had the rear cranked up to 48 and the front at 45 just to handle the load.

I am now over 10k miles, just did a road trip to MI from NY. Towed a 6x12 uhual back as well. Going out there everything was under 10/32 of an inch. I'll measure the tread tonight to get an idea of how much more burned off. I'm figuring I have another 10k miles left in them

Are you on P or E rated version?

20k on the P version is awfully low if that is what you're using and approx. mileage on them/expected.

    P-Load rating.
I'm not expecting to much more out of these since I've burned through almost 43% of the total tread but only driven 18% of the mileage that these are warrantied for (43% is if I drove these right till there was no tread left. 2/32 is the legal min for NY State so I've used 50% of the legal tread). So that logic if I ditch these at 4/32 (really not safe to run below 4/32) I have about 10k miles left on them, assuming my wear pattern is linear (stays consitent from start to finish). Then I'll get 64% back from Falken for what I paid for them

Wow, that is pretty bad tread wear for such light mileage. As someone on a previous page stated, Falken had a bad batch go out. You may have been a recipient of part of that batch. :notsure:

Now the question becomes, would you purchase the same tire model again with your experience & empirical evidence with use on this tire? You should also factor in your time into that answer too, because it does take time to get them replaced and contacting Falken/distributor for that reimbursement.

Yeah I saw that post and have a feeling that this was part of a bad batch, had that feeling since I first started noticing them wearing quickly.
I've reached out to both Falken and Discount Tire Direct on it already when I had about 5k miles on them and they already have me on the watch list for them. I did kind of a quick review on these a few posts ago, and kind of came down to the conclusion: Pros-Cheap, Look Good, Really Good Wet Road Traction, Quiet on the highway. Cons-Wear Fast (In my case), Heavy for a P-Load, Not impressed for Snow/Ice/Mud Traction, Tires like to slide when there is some dirt/gravel on pavement, and they do like flinging rocks.

I probably will not buy these again, and I feel bad for swaying people away from them since there are others that have had good luck with them. As for the next set I'm not 100% sure what to go with, but leaning more towards the Cooper route or Nittos

Just checked I'm now at 9/32 on the front and a hair lower then 8/32 in the rear so def need a rotation. Mileage wise floating around 10k on them

That pic is with the 2in leveling kit and LTs?

That looks good. I just did 887s and was thinking of st maxx 275s on my ray 10s but I like the look of the wild peaks and the LT 265s are close to a 275
