I just got estimated delivery date for my Taco (end of April) and I want to order a couple of items to have when truck is delivered.

I have read through all of the tonneau threads and the one thing I cant seem to nail down is which roll-up (vinyl) tonneau offers the most weatherproof seal while maintaining maximum bed width? I had a Truxedo Truxport on my Frontier and it left me with the full width of the bed and was relatively weathertight.

However, I am not sure if this applies to Tacoma applications since it looks like all the tonneaus are installed using the bed rail system (Frontier used clamps under the top rail). I love the look of the low-pro (and other low profile covers) but it looks like they all reduce the overall width of the bed with their rail system.

Not interested in a folding top or anything that will break the bank ($500 is my max price)

I have a truxport. The rails for the cover sit on top of the bed rails. There is no intrusion into the width of the bed. Only leaks I get are from the tail gate and the front of the bed where the rail does not meet flush with the sides of the bed.

It does let water in but I've never had puddles of water even after going through car wash with it where the dryers blow the water in at the tailgate end. It seals well, not perfect.

Seems good so far. Had a lot of rain lately and I haven't noticed any water. but, I haven't really paid much attention either. Good product.

I love mine too! I had a trifold soft vinyl cover before this and love that I can roll this up and get max bed use.

I have the Truxedo Truxport on my 17 DCLB and it's awesome for the money! Purchased on eBay new for $239. I'd say so far it keeps 98% of the water out which is pretty impressive at this price point.
