I didn't get what the "TEQ" thing was all about until I read this article which, from a design standpoint, was fascinating.

THEN I promptly got the "Toyoda" logo patch... because it's also a very good design.

Back onto whatever we're talking about... Tonight I'm going to finally install my dual USB port into my dash that's been just sitting in the holenot doing anything like a poser for the last week so I can clean up the rat's next of wires for my phone charger and dashcam wiring.

EDIT: holy I forgot to post this yesterday, Batman!

Changed diff and transfer case fluids today!
Found out that Royal Purple is actually purple.
    IMG_1750.jpg

Also a question for you all. I accidentally used the wrong crush washers on the transfer case and rear diff drain plug. I didn't realize they were different until after I got done with everything. Does it matter?

Went with the kidlings out to Bulldog Canyon and got "Taco" (their name for it) dirty-er.

Also found that the external TPMS I have on the valve caps work awesome to deflate the tires, albeit slowly. Just unscrew them enough that they start letting air out and all 4 tires are deflating at once. Not nearly the hassle I thought they'd be. Definitely would need to take them off for any gnarly wheeling though. Would hate to bust one... but I'd know immediately because the alarm would go nuts.

I just used 1 1/2 pvc. Probably not the best material, but I think it will work fine. I don't plan on being too rough with it.

Yes me and a friend of mine did it together. He worked from the top of the truck and I worked underneath. I don't think we were at it for more than 2 hours. Having a second person to help get the alternator out and guided back in was a big help. Also if you have a harbor freight in your area go there and pick up one of those mechanics stethoscope. It was like 5 bucks and helped me narrow down where the wine was coming from. For me it was the alternator but I wanted to replace those pulleys while I had it apart.

After I stacked off-road adventures between traveling for work, the truck had been neglected, cleaned and scrubbed inside and out, waxed the million new scratches from AZ and have been cleaning the engine bay today.

Yesterday moved up to 33" BFG KO2's on 16" Methods, loving them

I like the subtle carbon fiber part. I know taking the console off is easy, but does that piece easily unsnap?

If you're talking about the shifter bezel, yes. Just pull up by grabbing it and it comes right off.

Went to my local Performance Bike Shop for a new bike chain and found a half price sale on all the Transit Xpress bike mount accessories. $40 for all 4 item, 2 wheel mounts and 2 bike mounts. Got home and rummaged through my aluminum scrap bin and found the perfect 1" x 1" x 1/8" 6061 aluminum square tube since these are made for that size tube. A little design thought in how I was going to put it all together, a little cutting, drilling, tapping and two hours later I came up with this. I wanted it to be easy removal so I incorporated the adjustable rail mounts and even had an extra cam lock (blue lever) left over from a router table clamp system and put that to use.
