    I was always told to disconnect negative terminal, turn your key to on and depress brake pedal several times to drain remaining battery... See if you can find a youtube video to confirm though. I am not a mechanic!

    Also, make sure to check your brakes to be sure you don't have a pad rubbing/ warped rotor. This can cause a heck of a lot of rolling resistance. Don't worry, when I got my truck I was getting 15 and very frustrated, but eventually got it solved by just going over the basics. Changing Fluids, cleaning sensors, checking brakes mostly. Not quite sure which hammer hit the nail, but it never hurts to give a thorough tune up, so I went ahead and did it all.

    If it makes you feel any better, I used to have an F250, and I would trade it any day for my Tacoma. :crapstorm:
