Finally got around to starting my bed rack. Got most of the cuts done on my cute little 6" HF "chopsaw" LOL. Below are just mock up pics. Gonna put 2 TAN .50cal ammo cans on both sides. (Arriving Monday) Should look great on the truck since its a tan color. Got the mounts for the cans from SWAG offroad.com and painted them black. A bit pricey at $60ea but I really like them. Still gotta cut the legs for the basket to mount it and buy some angle pieces for the bed sides.

Honestly not sure when it's gonna be installed on the truck. Just got excited and had to share some pics. Hopefully next month. (Have to wait for my brother to get some free time to weld it....too busy working on his project, 86 Cutlass Supreme on juice)

    The metal I used is....
1x1 square tube 40' for basket
1×2 square tube 20' for bottom of basket and legs to attach it to the bed rails. I'll post some more pics once its on the truck. Below is also a pic of what I'm modeling it after.

Do u mind share $ numbers? It was DIY project? Difficult ? Wonder cost of the part and I would have to quote a mechanic for labor. Sounds a good mod for my list to do on dec/2020 until loan gets paid off,

Can someone lend some insight on what the charcoal canister effects? Does it effect vacuum on the fuel system? I'm trying to narrow down a non starting issue.
    Thanks for your help

It captures all fuel vapor and re-circulates it back into the engine. Typically if you had issues with this system 2 things are can cause problems. One is if the purge valve was stuck open or leaking and upon re-fueling it would simulate being flooded like a carb would have done. and the second is if someone were to try and top off a really full tank and filled the charcoal canister with raw fuel.

Looks great!! Never seen a windsheild light bar on a smaller tacoma. Where did you get the light and those brackets?? Pretty cool.

    The bracket is from EazyCompany.

No longer made, I purchased from sickyota04 last month.

The light bar is an AUXBEAM V-SERIES 42 INCH 240W COMBO STRAIGHT RGB LED LIGHT BAR (5D PROJECTOR LENS)

I don't do any Off Roading, but I like the look and with the RGB options I have something to play with at some local car meets. :bananadance:

Haha your that guy. We have local cars and coffee meets and there's always a lowered mini truck with light bars and ground effects and stuff. Love to see people just have fun with their cars. Actually looks better on the small trucks than it does on the 4WD trucks haha.

Glad my truck is from the south, After 17 years the alignment cam bolts came out without any problems and the OEM paint was still inside the Lower Control Arms when I pushed out the old bushings.
