Another Tacoma/Tundra brake question

    Doing the swap and I'd like a little more info on how to handle the banjo bolt issue. The Tundra calipers I have look to need a flared steel line going into them. I saw mention of drilling the tacoma banjo bolts or a line kit available from Wheelers?

    Any info on either would be appreciated!

    New brake lines will make another big difference in braking feel - I put stainless lines on my 2nd gen and the brakes feel way better. Worth the money imo.

    Mine had some pad rattling issues when hitting a sharp bump. Two anti rattle clips weren't quit enough to fix it. I found another way.:D

    4 springs from Ace Hardware to put some pressure on the pads. If i remeber right, some of the old 260 Zs were done this way. Also orange anti squell juice on back of brake pads.

    I like the spring idea. I swapped 13wl calipers on mine yesterday and noticed quite a bit more noise when the brake pads clamp or un clamp from the rotor. Nothing horrible but i may try your little trick.

    Also i used a wave washer and a regular washer behind clip. You can see it in the picture.

    What is the purpose of the washers? Just to keep the pin from having too much slack?

    where did you find this info at for the bolt, I did the up grade and used the WL caliper and I had the banjo bolt and it screwed right on in, was I suppose to drill out the bolt or something please let me know Thanks

    Man I always thought I was the only one with that rattle. Whenever I go from forward to reverse or vice versa I could hear the pads shift. Same thing going over speed bumps.

    I just put in another retaining clip per side (opposite of the original) and it seems to have stopped them from shifting.

    yea but mine was more like a single clack when I would brake when switching from forward to reverse. Same thing with a speed bump.
