    Hey everyone!

Long time Toyota fan & I've been lurking the hell out of this place for a while now, just wanted to finally dip my toes in the pool.

My '17 TRD OR DC 4x4 should be here soon and I'll be trading in my '16 Ram 2500 Cummins.

    I can't wait!

Welcome brother and congrats on getting rid of that Dodge piece of shit. Though the Cummins might be good it's everything around it that's junk. IMHO

You got that right. I had always wanted a diesel (the Cummins specifically) but man, everything around the engine is such horseshit.

I really should've just gone with Toyota in the first place, but I know I would've always wondered about the Cummins. But lesson learned, I'm over diesel's pain in the ass quirks, and especially FCA's quality control/service.

Not a Cummins but I was with a 4x4 diesel that I pulled out several times in one day, once buried to the axles.

Awesome. Welcome. Just please don't post how it lacks power....or if you do be ready for deaf ears. LOL

Seriously though, as crappy as the Dodge trucks are I would be nervous about missing all that power.

A part of me is, but the Cummins doesn't even give you the full torque until it's in 4th gear. It takes off like a turtle and there's been more than once I've experienced the common (i.e. dreaded) Cummins Dead Pedal.

Considering one my many cars over the years included an '08 Prius, I should be ok with the Tacoma's acceleration haha
