Took mine off last week with just fishing line and had the heat gun ready but never used it. The remaining double sided tape was fairly easy to remove and needed very little adhesive remover in the end. I'm wondering if heating up the tape would have made it a messier job.

I fought harder to peel the dealer sticker off which did require heavy use of the thumbnail to catch the edge to peel.

looking forward to it. If it makes you feel better, I'm a photographer and I have about 4 pics of the truck total. Go figure!

Unfortunately not my experience as it was cold out when I did it (patience is not a strong point). Used the hairdryer but it was pretty damn tedious.

Thanks, yeah, got it all off and there really wasn't much residue to deal with but damn if I didn't burn the crap out of my fingers with that hair drier. It was only 20* out when I did it so you had to work quickly applying heat and peeling at the same time. fingers were just in the way too often. I like it much better so it was worth it but would have been so much easier had it sat in warm sun for an hour first!

20°?! Damn! I pulled mine when it was like 80° out, and used a hair dryer too.

...^^^... Do it on a hot day ... in the sun too ... this helps a lot ... earlier you do it, the better too.

I have debadged a complete TRD OR 4x4 before and loved the looks and how easy it was to clean. And wax.

Even took stickers off back fenders.

I did the same thing (debadged the entire truck) but since mine is an SR5 I put the same Tacoma w/mountains emblem on the rear panel of the bed where the TRD decals go on trucks equipped that way. BTW--color: Super White
