    I have a 2015 Prerunner (2wd) and looking into replacing the original rotors and was wondering if anyone has any opinion on some slotted rotors. I was looking at the EBC Ultimax Slotted rotors but just would like to possibly get any feed back and opinions. I don't really use the truck off road or anything mainly street, highway and some towing (usually not too heavy but sometimes on occasion).

    I don't think most people recommend them on a daily driver. I think your money would be better spent on a quality set of rotors and pads, maybe some stainless lines?

    Have had these on for about a month. Great so far, much better than stock.

    Actually I have this kit. A little cheaper, not 'heavy duty'.

    Nope they've been great... only been on for a little over a month and have not done any off roading. No complaints so far.

    I've had those for a year now. No problems at all. Made it on a cross country road trip fully loaded. Never overheated (although stock did very well also).

    Well I do have some new better pads but starting to get a little warp in the stock rotors. Planning to do the whole job at once or if I should just turn the rotors and put them back on (I have my own brake lathes).

    EBC and Hawk racing both have good rotors. You want just slotted, not slotted and drilled.

    Get some good ceramic pads, stainless lines, and then fully flush and bleed your system with good brake fluid. Should be good to go after that.

    Honestly if you've got under 80-100 k just keep the factory ones... if not stoptech makes a good set

    Imagine the surface of the rotor being the same thickness when its cast.... now imagine it warping still the same thickness as when it was cast....you put it on the lathe and cut off the high spots which thin out the rotor in that area right?? So now you don't have the same thickness on the surface of the rotor....does it dissipate the heat the same as the rest of the rotor?? It can not, it is doomed to warp again! Now I'm talking noticeable warpage not slight . all rotors will have some run out on the lathe but if you can feel it when applying the brakes...don't waste your time or money just get new ones it took me 20 years to figure that out as a mechanic....:p

    My stock rotors were warped when I bought the truck @ 30k. I am glad to be rid of them and will never use stockers on this truck again.

    AFe Rebel Catback Exhaust, AFe GT Momentum Air Intake, Method Wheels, Bilstein 5100, Rigid 30" SR2 Light Bar, Rigid 10" SR Light Bar. Lots of Love
    Slots looks cool but they do not improve braking distance, There is a benefit to them but you won't ever see it unless your taking the truck out on the track to do some racing. Slots also increase pad wear and that's one of the reason I go against it considering I usually buy expensive brake pads; Hawks, EBC, ect.

    I suggest if your going slots; use the Powerslot slotted rotors; Good brand and great wear performance or StopTech slotted rotors. I don't like EBC rotors simply because most of them if not all of them come slotted and drilled. I highly suggest avoiding drilled rotors just because of stress cracks that can occur(although highly unlikely; I wouldn't want to deal with it)

    I recommend Stop Tech Cryo treated blank rotors with some Hawk LTS brake pads; I run this and tremendous increase in braking power; no more fading with heavy towing on downhills or stop and go traffic.
