Hey all! I've got a 2015 TRD Off-road and its completely stock and I'm looking at the icon stage 4 kit but am open to other suspension ideas while I make some decisions.

Does anybody out there in the Austin area have icon suspension set ups? If so, would anybody be willing to meet up and let me ride in your truck for a short bit just so I can feel the difference and see how the truck handles with the upgraded suspension?

I'm looking to turn it into an overland eventually as I've trekked across a good many countries in overlands and am looking to build my own here in the States.

I'm a 30 year old biomedical engineer working at a medical device company and live near North Loop (about 54rth street etc).

Thanks and all help would be appreciated!

I guess have the King equivalent shocks with Icon UCA's and the Icon AAL. Might be able to meet up if you'd like to see how they ride?

FWIW I've ridden in both King and Icon trucks and on the road they don't feel any better than stock (for the most part) where you see the advantage is when you start hitting trails at a high rate of speed.

I've installed a wide variety of shock and spring set ups. Kings are the best of all, only thing I don't like about Kings is the passenger side adjustment. Icons and Fox are good as well. What I haven't had the opportunity to install is the OME BP-51's, which I hope to do those soon so that I can give my opinion on them as well. Truthfully, if you have the cash to spend on Icon, save a few extra dollar and go with Kings with the adjusters. Also you'll want Upper Control arms up front and leaf pack in the rear to match the shocks. If you go with a 33" or larger tire, you'll want to do a Cab Mount Chop and some minor trimming so that you won't rub, aka truck farts. Let me know if you need any other educated opinions. Mitch has Kings, and they're great, Robert has Icons on his 4runner and they're great as well.

Swung by the pay-n-spray this morning before heading out to the lake to play with sailboats for a bit. Water got too big for small boats so we cashed out and yet again the Pyrite Mica impressed me with its subtle color changes.

Awesome I'd love to meet up and check it out for sure. I'll PM you.

Thank you for the advice! I'd like to ride in a few set-ups and get a general idea of what I'll be looking at ride quality wise. I'll take a look at the Kings as well. I'm also adding the UCA's upfront as well as new leaf's in the rear for sure.

nice! Looks great. Which bilstein did he get? the 6112 set up?
