Looking at purchasing a leveling kit for my 2017 OR. Anyone have just a leveling kit installed that could post pictures with the brand type. I see mostly 2.25" leveling kits but that seems a little much to me (nose high in the air). Looking at the ready lift leveling kit but not if it's gonna sit nose high. Thanks.

A Ready Lift 2.25 kit is what? $230
And yes, you'd be nose high.

You can get front Bilstein 5100's for $200 and get it perfectly level while still having the ability to adjust the height in the future.

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/st...air)_-_24-263108_for_2016__Toyota_Tacoma.html

Installation is a little more involved with the Bilsteins, but it's worth it.
I installed mine this weekend. Pretty easy if you have the right tools.

Had these on my 2010 the ride was a little stiffer than I was wanting but might change my mind to sit level Thanks for your input

If you thought that ride was bad then you definitely don't want one of those leveling kits

On the TRD Pro models that come leveled it's what like 1.5"? Haven't seen a 2016+ but did see a 2015 Pro and it sat perfectly level.

This is my first Tacoma, so I can't comment on comparison to a 2010, but I can tell you the ride feels the same as the factory Bilsteins that I just replaced.

No man I wouldn't either, I would save up for something nicer like an icon, fox, or king suspension but that's just me. I should tell you the cheaper you go the more stress it puts on the truck, can cause other parts to wear more quickly

If they're metal, you'll maintain the factory ride. You'll jus have more of a chance to damage other suspension components.

Why? Top plate spacers don't change the factory ride at all. But doing a preload style lift like 5100's WILL stiffen the ride.

I get it, man. When you look at the price of most aftermarket suspension, it's really tempting to just buy spacers. If you don't know better, why not just spend way less if you aren't going to be doing serious off roading. Then you put this shit on your truck and realize that it doesn't "maintain factory ride", then you have to either put up with it, remove it, or replace it with something better. I'm not gonna lie, before I bought my Tacoma, I was looking at spacer kits. Then I joined this place and started reading. Glad I did.

Yeah on road, off road it won't be good though

Such as what? What other parts are going to wear more quickly with a spacer vs. a coilover lift?

It will be exactly the same ride as it rolled out of the factory with. On road or off. 5100's, or any spring preload style lift will stiffen the ride vs. factory.

Top plate spacers maintain factory ride. Preload style lifts, such as 5100's stiffen the ride. It's simple.

Stop spewing shit you read on here if you don't understand it yourself.

Oh ok, still doesn't change the wear on the suspension though
