I would have sold you mine, as I don't need it any more.

Spent the whole week end outside/in the garage with the large door open, working on a full of little things, what a great day! Haven't done that since long... a big thank to the nice weather!

cheers to that man! I have been able to get quite a few mods done myself this past couple weeks, which I'm really happy about haha

I'm currently pricing out a lift kit lol not sure if I will pull the trigger tho haha I'm looking at getting this kit for the mean time until i have enough saved for the king set up I really want haha got quoted with shipping for about $2k cnd. been pricing it out with Tdot Performance down in Toronto, based off their website I'm looking at 1500 cnd for just the 4 shocks + coils + SPC UCA. That's based off an assumption that their pricing for the shocks is individual and not sold as pairs. so once I buy AAL, pay a shop to put the coil over assembly together I'm honestly looking at about the same cost. I have emailed Tdot to find out about the pricing of the shocks, if it turns out they are sold as pairs, then the pricing I put together would drop to about 1180 before the AAL and what not.

DUDE! Spc's UCA here for 325$!

    http://www.kijiji.ca/v-autres-piece...ts/1243677033?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Might be able to negotiate it down to 275 maybe:notsure:

Bilstein setup seems to be really good! But why aren't you waiting a little bit more for the king setup?

Imo it could be possible to save here and there by installing the lift yourself with help. Of course shocks have to be put in the coils but i am pretty sure there is a way to do it without paying someone to do it lol i could give you a hand too. I am not full of tools but I have some that might help!

oh damn, that's a good price haha they are usually like 640 bucks!! haha

if I get everything from headstrong they will send the shocks and stuff all put together for me, you need a spring compressor to do it yourself, which I don't have haha and I would also have to source out other parts like new coil isolator, upper and lower bushings/washers, and strut mount.

I do plan on installing it myself, but help would be appreciated haha

the king set up I want is really expensive and I'm getting impatient to be completely honest haha I can justify 2k but hard to justify paying twice that. my main issue is that I still owe money on my credit card so it would by wise to get that paid off first haha and, you know what I'm going to want once I lift? new rims and tires haha which means more moneys hahaha if I get the Bilsteins set up, I can just save up and once the shocks are at the end of their life, upgrade to the kings. again I'm just looking at different options at the moment.

Thanks for sending me that link, I'm tempted to scoop those up.

It just never ends once you are hooked up! I am working hard in my brain to not buy! But when the mod bug gets me I get a little "candy" to calm down lol!

I've never done front suspension before but I don't think it is a magic thing... the only concern is seized parts... I am still interested to give you a hand if you are to do it alone and feel like you would like help.

Imo you will be pleased with the bilstein setup. Enough to report the kings as far as you can because like you said, you'll want wheels (SCS or nothing! Haha) and then tires, and then bigger tires, and then regear... and then and then and then hahaha

For the uca you should contact that guy, it would make an item to not buy from the states, except if it kills the deal if you don't buy them in a package

Really starting to consider 255's for my next set but 4cyl... so was looking at headers (could be cool) and then, i looked at gears  damn expensive!

So for now I will live the moment with what I have and pull the trigger without thinking another day lol

yeah man your right! all my mods are slowly getting a little more expensive haha I'm trying to keep myself occupied with less expensive mods, but in the back of my head, I keep thinking, LIFT IT LIFT IT LIFT IT hahahaha

yeah I cant imagine it would be too hard, like you said, my main concern is seized parts, I had my front wheels off the other day while I was replacing my power steering fluid, and the bolts actually didn't look to bad, hopefully a little PB Blaster is all that's needed haha ill definitely take you up on that offer when the time comes haha

yeah I want SCS Stealth 6 in Matte jet black. I want 285/70's I wont want to go bigger then that tho, cant justify the need haha

would you be willing to contact that guy for those upper control arms for me? I would, but I bet your French is a lot better then mine haha I actually am bilingual but I don't speak French very often. I really just need to know if they have the greasable ball joints. if so, I'm willing to pay the 325 but, less is always good too hahaha

    yup.

Want 35's but I'll need new rims. Can't get cheap steelies as they don't have the offsets I need in a 17" rim. Need the 17" rim in case of bigger brakes... gears, lockers.....

I'm in the process of doing a dual battery setup. Needless to say it's getting to be the "and then and then " portion. It all started with wanting a fridge for the truck.

Pb blaster and keep a torch close! Heating bolts saved my day more than once!

Don't hesitate to ask me whe. The time will come. It is always fun to do mecanic on someone else's truck and learn what to not do on mine :D

I will write to the guy tonight about the uca, no problem with that! If I do not get answer I'll call. I a more a message guy than a phone lol! Will see what he has to say!

Dual battery looks awesome! But with what I see it seems to be expensive... more than I thought!

About wheels, better go with alloys or aluminum since steelies are heavy!

    hahaha

much appreciated man! I'm more of a message guy too haha they have been listed for about a month so maybe he will be willing to drop the price haha like I said, if they have the greasable ball joint I'm game to pay the 325 since its half the price of brand new ones haha I just got a quote from that place in Toronto and they wanted 640+tax w/free shipping.

I still wonder why those are half the price and still in the box... would be a deal even if it was only 100$ less lol

if I had to guess, he probably got rid of or totaled the truck before he had a chance to install them, maybe he even bought them at a discount price? and just wants them gone quick, 300 bucks is better then nothing I suppose haha
