I understand there is some info out there how to do this, but I couldn't find any on the 3rd gens. I attached some photos as well. I have 17 sport.

Start with small top door panel on the inside. It simply pulls off (nylon tabs that can be easily lost in the holes when putting it back so be careful). Next there is a nylon push rivot. On the door panel closet to the front of the door. Push that guy in and take it out.IMG_5566.jpg
Next there are two screws that are hiding. One is behind a pice of plastic on the door handle. I got a cloth and a flat head to prop it off. Next screw is underneath the felt on the bottom of the door crevice that you use to grab the door when you shut it (whatever that's called).IMG_5564.jpg

From there you're ready to prob the etire door panel off. Scary I know. But start from the end of the door towards the back of the truck on the bottom corner and pull fairly hard. From there it will easily start to come off.

Unplug the quick connect of the mirror. You notice 3 black stickers where the mirror is. Behind them are the bolts. Pull the stickers off. They wil restick when you're done. I would prefer new ones though, just haven't looked into if you can. Get a 10mm socket and take the three bolts out and you're good to go.

Once you replace the mirror, it's reasebaly time. To put the door panel on, make sure you hook it from the top first. There is a lip under the door panel on the top that you place over the metal part of the door. From there the nylon push rivots should line up and push it together and replace the screws. That's it!IMG_5562.jpg IMG_5563.jpg IMG_5564.jpg IMG_5565.jpg IMG_5566.jpg

Thank you. No Torx fasteners in there like the 2nd gen?

If you damage yours like I did mine. Long story, but the housing broke and I needed to replace it.

Can someone please tell me the part number or what the heck they are called. Cannot find these clips and when trying reinstall inside mirror cover they fell into the door. It’s the 2 white clips that interior mirror cover fit into.

I'm not sure. I would assume they are standard for Toyota though. If you contact www.parts.olathetoyota.com or call them, I'm sure they can help. They have been great for me.
