MB Quart 6x9's need more power!!

i just took the 6x9's out of my project chevelle and put them in my truck. they dont sound nearly as good as i had hoped. i have an eclipse deck in the velle and it sounded good but it has more power than the factory stereo in the taco. so anyway the point is i need an amp. any recommendations on what would be a good amp to run and should i use a basic LOC or the more expensive type with the aux outlet? im kinda broke right now!!

 

Do you have the 6" X 9" components or regular 6" X 9" speakers. I'm using a PDX4.150. It has 150 watts per channel (plenty of power) for my MBQuart 6x9 components.

 

they are the regular 6x9's. i definetly want to hook up an amp, do you have any recommendations?

I really like my Alpine, but you should use an amp that is the right power for your speakers. Not enough power is just as bad as too much power. Definitely invest in a good quality amp.

 

modesto to be exact. im thinking about getting a pioneer dvd player so that my deck will have all the features that i need such as a ipod hookup and i wont have to use speaker level inputs. also that might just give me the power i need for those speakers to sound decent
