    Don't drill anything harder than aluminum with them, though.
    I used one on that manifold stud that was drilling this weekend and even with cutting oil and low speed it only made it about 1/8th of an inch before it decided that drilling was too much like work and quit.

    Yea they did that crap CRC treatment on my truck with the previous owner and its peeling right off. I went to Toyota an they told me its not covered since it was treated. I reached under the truck and peeled off a 6inch long chunk of the CRC treatment with rust under it and asked them why they thought this was okay. They said I was shit out of luck...

    I have the Uniden 520XL or whatever it is. Works mint just wanted something a bit more... advanced.

    If you wanted to push the issue, call Toyota USA Customer Service. Obviously, the CRC coating was not done correctly.

    Maybe I had a dud. But it didn't hold up for me at all. I was only turning maybe 120-150 RPM's, with plenty of cutting oil, and it just wasn't having it. :notsure:

    I switched to a Dewalt titanium spiral and it chewed right through, so who knows.
