Just finagled the Renogy 100W panel in between the rails for a lower profile. They almost came together like Lego.

 

does anyone know how many cross bars come with the roof rack?

 

I believe 6

 

It may be different for the access cab vs a dual cab, but the dual cab version I got came with 7.

Looks great. How did you run your wires? Do you use them as direct charge for battery operated devices?

 

I have a dual battery setup. The wires from the panel go to a charge controller, which then goes to the secondary battery to charge it.

 

The panel is about 1/16" longer than the cross bars for Tacoma rack. I had to jam washers on a couple cross bars to be able to drop the panel inside the rails. If your cross bar is 47.2" or longer, it should fit nicely.

is the "noise reducing edge trim" anything special or can i pick it up at a hardware store?

 

It has a metal channel that securely clips the the wind deflector and then behind that channel is the weatherstripping like material. That metal channel does a great job of forming to the shape of the wind deflector and feels like its holding it on quite tightly
