I'm sure it doesn't shift where some people prefer it shifted, but it shifts consistently. I push the pedal, it goes.

There is an entire thread with dozens and dozens of people for whom the TSB update did not fix the problem. Some say it helped and many others claim the opposite.

There's a new thread posted every day of someone complaining about the auto trans. There are in-depth reviews by sources like Car & Driver that emphatically recommend avoiding the Auto transmission.

The 2018s should be hitting lots by late August or Early September. Test drive test drive test drive. Research based upon what you need and desire from a vehicle to see if the tacoma is really a good fit for you.

I rather him remove the ethanol out of our fuel. We'll get better mileage and maybe more power.

I heard the 5th gen coming out in 2030 will be lit dawg. 8 speed transmission, automatic smart 4 wheel drive, an air brake option, but still no diesel option here in the US.

Probably can get a good deal on the leftover 17s if he waits till the 18s hit the lots.

And it bugs people like smit to no end to where they constantly have to post about their gripes for who knows what reason other than they have nothing better else to do. I don't get it. Colorado salesman, short on Toyota, grudge ?

As a young person I said I'd drive manual transmissions for life if allowed. I got over that 20 some years later, but was a long time car guy that even did some amateur racing.

I never know what gear my Tacoma is in, nor do I care. It is an appliance to me. If I wanted something with "soul", I'd have bought a Porsche.

I'd rather it drove itself so I could youtube or something useful in that time, but for now it does a fine job of getting me and my crap, sometimes my buddies and their crap, where we want to go.

Nothing personal, just glad my 16 doesn't have it. Too much electronics as it is- don't want any more.
