I definitely agree with this. I understand that you don't feel you should have to give up your seat but the whole boneless down the aisle thing seems a little much to me...

United's mistake was letting ANYONE down the jetway before getting all that worked out. Been through that process a lot with Delta, and they don't play (especially in Atlanta). That's all figured out before the first passenger embarks.

Exactly. There's got to be more to this.

Hell, I've been at the gate, seeing how many are waiting knowing it's overbooked, and gone to the desk offering to be bumped before it's even asked for. (If my plans can fit it).

And be scored some great perks that way. Most times I still make the flight by getting bumped to 1st class!

Okay serious question...how does this even happen? Wouldn't the victim at least had to have some state of arousal? Unless it's the hot dog down the hall way scenario.

Not sure how UA picked the denied boarding / off load list but, this sure is some bad publicity.

Case law dictates that any state of arousal (male or female) does not confer consent.

I understand the law portion of it but, considering the physical side of it, just seems to conflict with reality.

Reverse the scene. A woman is raped. The body's physiological response is for her vagina is to lubricate itself. Is she aroused, therefore consenting?
