I live and work about 20 min from that plant. More importantly though, I disagree here. IIRC, the last time a 3rd gen taco engine bit the bullet a full crate motor wasn't on the table. I believe it was going to be a short block and the dealership would be left to assemble the rest. That being said the truck ended up getting lemon lawed so

    Edit: Found the thread..
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/truck-broke-down-today.427560/

I really do hope OP gets a fully assembled engine. I'd just bet against it.

Can't stand sushi. After seeing they found tapeworms in Salmon here in the U.S. I'll pass.

Nah, if she got a tapeworm I'd have to start Supersizing her combo meals to feed them both.

You make a very realistic comparison. I had a tire de-laminate and replaced under warranty recently and those cheap M.F's at discount tire would only replace one tire when I bought 4.

The OP needs to learn negotiation techniques, he needs to ask for 2 new trucks so he has a spare next time this happens, but settle for a new truck and a minivan.

I'm not reading through the whole 400 posts, but if you are seeking legal action I highly suggest you stop posting on public forums.

Also, sorry to hear about your truck. I hope it all works out for you.

thank you I thought hard on that one!
but joke aside, the main purpose of buying a brand new vehicle i the piece of mind and knowing that no one other then you have dicked around with it. and i understand that mechanical things break and shit happen but in OP's case its clearly a factory defect in a very sensitive area and he cough it in less then a month of ownership! so I am wit OP on this one I would ask for a brand new vehicle or money back!

:crapstorm:Don't sweat this, once you get your new engine you are all set. These things are bulletproof. You will have at least another 2-6 months before you hear your diff howl or get some hard clunky downshifts.
