    Too many poles IMO.

See how many parts and pieces he has to put back and take out of the compartment? With a trailer full of gear, it would take 20 - 30 minutes to setup. Too long for $10k IMO.

Also, the fabric isn't close to as durable as an RTT, Springbow, or OZ tent. As @Iggy know :boink:, I'm a huge proponent of heavy, durable fabric for car- camping tent material. 10 - 15 extra lbs. on your back would be brutal, but nothing for a vehicle. It should be thick, waterproof, and wear- resistant. Plus, if you're not using it for a utility trailer, you still have to unload everything, setup the tent, then load it all back in.

If i was looking for a $10k mildly off- roadable trailer, this would be pretty cool:

    http://www.rvt.com/Columbia-Northwest-Aliner-SCOUT-LITE-2017-West-Chester-PA-ID7402061-UX89334

Dry weight is only 350 lbs heavier.

For more serious off- roading, the trailers that @jberry813, @JLee, and @Mademan925 have are pretty nice. Probably less than $10k :notsure:

For motorcycle/ atv hauling, a camper like @Iggy 's and a utility trailer would be the same price and more versatile.

Again, just my biased opinion. Don't listen to me- I'm an idiot and not into trailers :D

For that price I would get one of these. http://www.leaddogmotorsports.com/products/5x8-off-road-dog-house/

I almost bought one before I went all Phil on my truck.

You'll thank me when you sit up, climb out of bed, stand up, stretch your arms above your head, get dressed, and make a cup of coffee inside the camper on a cold morning.

    Just don't wake me up...:anonymous:

Haha! The trailer was a brief thought. If anything I can build something like it for the 4Runner and light trails. Fully committed to the camper!

Its a joke. As soon as we fix the mesh where the asshole tore through the marmot will be fine. We only do spring/ summer camping anyway. The ground suits us just fine.

Ps. I value your opinion phil. 30 mins is way too long to just set up a tent. Id expect the fort ready for party in that amount of time.

I met someone with a really cool 4Runner and trailer/RTT at Pinecrest lake last year. They packed up and left the day I arrived. Said he did the Rubicon and such with his set up. Really long togue and hitch on the trailer.

Is that one of those people? I think he said he was from the north bay?

Pretty sure he had a straight axle front but I don't remember.
