Installed double cab running boards on my access cab! Took a little modifying but works get for my old dog getting in and out of the rear.

Plus they were free, the best price! The 5" Toyota bars go for 900$ up here.

How did you attach the straps that are holding the panel on? I've been kicking around different ideas of attaching the panel so I can take it out in one piece easily if I need to make room or something. Really like this setup. Does it rattle?

Both straps go around rear headrest uprights. Two buckles released and the whole thing comes out.

When it was just the bare panel, I heard it smack the rear lightly a couple times. With some gear in the bags, its really a non issue. You will hear it if you panic stop, but I am not sure I am going to add any more straps, its fine.

I have a 4x4 2016 Limited. Changed the shocks to Bilsteins 5100 (limited), which do not afford much of a lift. Better ride, with more compliance over ripples and less rebound. Significantly improved the ride. The truck feels more "planted". Stock springs.

I don't go offroad, not interested in a lift either, more concerned about overall ride quality, the small bumps are felt the most on the road and can be a bit annoying. You'd recommend the change?

The small bumps and ripples were literally giving me a headache, and The choppy ride was getting worse as I accumulated miles. The difference is significant. The Bilsteins 4600 in the Off Road are basically the same as the 5100s, but the 5100s are better built. You can find several TW members that have done lifts to their ORs, and have their original 4600s for sale. I thought about that but in the end went with the 5100s, since I was going to do this only once, and the difference in price was $150-200 from the used 4600s I found in the "for sale" thread.

Yes, I highly recommend the Bilsteins. The Hitachis that are standard in the Limited are not very good, and I'm being kind.

Due to the heavy response for my $5 radio knob grips I have created a thread in the 3rd gen BUY/SELL/TRADE forum titled

Thanks. Still toying with the idea of a level kit and bigger shoes even though it is a street Queen.
