Mine just comes back after the next trip down a dirt road, or in Spokane... Down any road. Stupid city still can't seem to fix the winter road destruction. That said avoid KO2s unless you want weekly balances

That'd be my thought as well if the vibes didn't subside right after a balance. A couple balances. I had the tech (a friend) try as hard as he could to get them to balance out with the fewest amount of weights. Still has an assload of weights, they're just a cheap tire in an expensive name, not what their predecessor was.

Excited for summer when I can afford to trade em out.

Well this was last week. Saturday I took it apart (after the I had the estimate from the guy that violated my Taco insurance's approved shop.) I was rear ended by a lifted Silverado and piled into a '15 Camry. The Camry has a very large '02 Tacoma impression in the trunk. My front looks nearly the same as it did except for a tare in the valance. The real damage is where my rear bumper was bent into the bed. It moved the lower corner in about 3/8th inch. It overlaps my now mangled tailgate. $6000 of damage form Farmer's approved body shop. The shop said the bed needs the sill and floor replaced and then a new spray in bed liner.

Farmers better not total it. I'll lawyer up. They wanted me to rent a car, A CAR! A truck would cost me extra! I need a truck. I need MY TRUCK.

The stealership did not stock the tail light that was broke. I went to a junk yard today and they had a new one but when I asked about the bumper and some other parts they laughed at me. I think it needs the bumper to make it road worthy but I'm driving it anyway.

Maybe i'll get ARB bumpers, or get cheaper replacements from ebay? I don't know. At least it still rolls. I will fix it.

Swapped my taillights out. Stole my stock ones off the other truck. It looks really weird as I've always had the white ones on since I bought it. Makes it look so dark lol. They're so old at this point and had some ground wires break on the back that are kind of beyond saving. So I need to either get another set of stock ones or upgrade to LED or something.

    image.jpg

Truck also popped a weird code that I'm hoping that was related to the lights, checked it after I replaced them. So we'll see if it comes back.

I'm also mad as my bed got a rust hole in it. About went through it when I walked back there. Only thing there now is the liner. The crappy Bedliner that was it in when I bought it must have been allowing moisture under it. Sigh. That'll need a patch eventually, same with the other side. This truck is getting a full run down when the black truck is daily driveable.

Sounds like how i imagined it. Reduced vibes sounds like a very appealing benefit. I dont expect my truck to be smooth anyway lol. Sharp turns are definitely a little sketch lol. Feel as if the good outweighs the bad so ill probably go for it. Will wait for a report from Brett too

I guess i could redefine the sag. Its about 1/4" difference between the body line on my bed to my cab. Rubber could be shot on the cab. ill have to take a closer look tommorrow. thanks man!

So I bought some aftermarket 01-04 TYC mirrors for my power mirror retrofit, and I noticed the driver'a side has a higher magnification than the passenger side. Is it supposed to be like this? It might be painfully obviously a feature but I can't tell.

The passenger side also says "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR" while the driver's side lacks this warning.

    IMG_1283.jpg

(Left mirror is passenger side, right mirror is driver's side - I put them in this orientation to better show the magnification differences - knife for scale)

    Is this normal?

Yeah, this is normal. Since you are close to the driver side mirror, you can easily lean forward to see a wider view. The passenger side, not so much so the mirror is designed to do it for you.

Like camera lenses. the passenger side is like a 10mm and the driver side is a 50mm.

So I bought this rear extended cab driver's side seatbelt off a 98-00 era parts truck to replace the one in my '98 since it's fully retracted and has no more latching/retration power.

The seatbelt I bought from the parts truck worked fine when I removed it, but now that it's out of the parts truck it has the exact opposite problem as my original seatbelt. It's fully retreated into the winding mechanism. If I pull on it, it just clicks and locks (like it would if you tug on it firmly like it's supposed to)

How would I pull it out of the retraction mechanism? I can't install it since the belt is too short now and I can't pull it back out. There must be like a release lever or something.
