You can use these Strap Wrenches for your oil filters; I like them a lot more than the tools suggested here.

all I know is trying to find a wrench that says in the description for a Tacoma is nearly impossible, labels every other Toyota vehical but not Tacoma.
    I assume its 24mm x 64.5 mm with 14 flutes?

I use my hand to install, but an old set of oil filter pliers to remove. It damages the filter a bit, but I am taking it off to change it anyways.

I have to use the steel band/strap type. Arthritis has gotten the better of my hand strength.

(For the V6) its pretty much as easy as it gets. You shouldn't need any tools on this one.

Or, if youve already drained the oil to then find your filter is stuck with no tool. Just drive a flat head screw driver through the side of the filter.

It's gotten me out of a bind before.

When I used to have the dealer change my oil ( free oil changes) , I could never get the oil filter off by hand, but once I started changing my own oil, it just hand tighten, and I can take it off by hand the next time I change my oil.

OP, just make sure you're using a twisting action for the oil filter (unlike the "other" motion you're probably used to. Lol)

I also use my hand. Sometimes I put it on a little tight and it's a struggle, but I can always get it by hand. The first time I changed it myself I had to use a set of tube clamps. The dealer had out the filter on tight and it's a long ways up in there on the 4 cyl. My tube clamps were handy so I used those.

I have a better chance of finding the Holy Grail then a Wrench cap to fit the Tacoma oil filter. No matter what I look for on Amazon or ebay, in the description not one will say fits 2nd gen Tacoma. All I get is 2016 Tacoma or every other Toyota vehical made. Somebody prove me wrong please. This is what I am looking for something like this, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XTAGHU0/ref=pd_luc_rh_bxgy_01_02_t_ttl_lh?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

+ another. I had a cap wrench that fit at one but lost it. All I use now is hand for all my vehicles.

Tighten with my hand and usually can remove the same way...sometimes need a strap to get it started.

My hand, unless for some reason someone else has done it. The dealers are the worst for either putting them on tight or too loose.
