    Yep.

    Mine were badly cracked without any hard winching and IIRC, a couple others have as well.

    My bumper has heavy plates that tie it into the frame.

    Yep.
    IMO, yes, and it can't hurt. Both our relentless bumpers had the tie back plates and the mounts still cracked.

    Damn... that's beefy. I don't think Ryan has time to get into that right now. May be a project for another day.

    Yeah I know you guys are setup different but I have a beefy crossmember welded to my frame horns. Your frame horns look weak as fuck.

    Your talking about front crossmember right....that the scotty bumper is bolted/welded to?

    What about your trans crossmember....have you upgraded that yet?:spy:

    Yeah the front crossmember. All 1/4".

    Should hold up to winching just fine.

    And no :anonymous: haven't seen the need yet, but haven't put the revised skid to the test yet though.

    I think it should hold up pretty well though. You can def tell the difference between my welds and Ant's welds on it :anonymous:

    @Wheelspinner @MY50cal @mach1man001

    Here you go guys. You talked me into it. I grabbed some more steel from work tonight. @Sub-Zero came over and we got some more done on the crossmember project.

    Cut some 1/4" angle to go on top of the new crossmember and cut out some frame horn plates. We also cut the factory studs off and will replace them with 1/2" grade 8 bolts.

    We're also going to wrap 1/4" angle around the bottom. With all of this and the gussetted frame plates that came with my bumper, I think I'll be good to go.

    Bryan is coming back one more time tomorrow to do all the welding. Then, I can get the truck back together.
