    That's right here moron. V

^ That has to be the most idiotic statement of the century. You are beyond daft.

... unless the 2014 NYR weren't the perfect example of a " fast and small player" team. Maybe this new league of yours just sprouted up over the last two seasons ? (ps: I used the V^ so you could follow along)

Kid you have no clue about hockey. I'm not going to get into a discussion with you because you have no idea how to have a discussion about hockey. You always just launch personal attacks and draw upon examples that have no bearing on the argument you are trying to make.

Sutter got his ass canned. No one will be rushing to hiring him. He might get another opportunity and hopefully he can make the same adjustments other coaches have made to play in a league that keeps getting faster with less of an emphasis on hitting and corner play.

I think LA needed to move on from both of those guys, so I think it was a good move, at this point.

As far as Pens stuff, I feel like Murray got hurt in that NJ game and something is wrong. Hasn't dressed since, plus when we sent 5 Wilkes-Barre players down, Jarry wasn't 1 of them. We will know tomorrow, if he doesn't practice. So ya, just what we need, if he's hurt.

Yeah I wish we drew your guys in the first round. Unless Andersen plays out of his mind the Leafs are going to have trouble dealing with the Capitals. The Caps just don't have a glaring weakness to attack and the Leafs have a banged up average at best defense core.

Oh well. No one expected the Leafs to get to where they are today so quickly. Maybe we will get a surprise and a few good games out of the series. At least the kids will get a taste for the playoffs.

Ya, I think that will be a tough series for the Leafs. MAYBE the Leafs are a bit faster, overall, so that might be hard for the Caps to deal with. And as you said Andersen steals you a game or so. Who knows, if Kuznetsov doesn't show up again, along with some of the other guys (Backstrom, Oshie), then it could be a decent series.

If Pens are healthy, then they have as good a chance as anyone but with Letang already out and a few other question marks (Geno? Hags? Murray?). Plus Kunitz out for awhile longer. It's tough.

Yeah the glaring hole to me on the Pens is Letang out. Even four or five years ago I felt he was the guy on the backend you could not afford to lose for a long period of time especially in the playoffs. Plus there is the Geo factor. While Malkin continues to throw up good numbers he hasn't been what the Pens need behind Crosby this year. Running two scoring lines plus Malkins sometimes dud line isn't going to fly against Columbus if they show up. Then again maybe you'll get the team that didn't show up for the last 10 games. It wouldn't shock me if the Pens destroyed Colombus even with everything I mentioned. They have been a team of extremes this year and they go cold the Pens will prison rape them.

I would love a Pens/Leafs series. Cheer for us!

So looking back on this year who were the biggest disappointments for everyone. You have Tampa who should of been competing to win the Atlantic that is on the outside looking in with major cap issues for next year, you have the Jets who have all the pieces to compete in the West but can't seem to make them work defensively, you have the Isles who have regressed rather than progressed after some big signings in last years off season, and you have the Stars who looked like the team to beat in the west last year but fell off a cliff this year.

Those would be my glaring failures for the year. The other misses that some had predicted would make the dance like Detroit, Philly, LA and Vancouver really didn't shock anyone I feel when they missed. Even out of the teams I mentioned I only think the last three have to make a few changes to get back to where they want to be. I can't see Tampa really needing to do anything other than find a way to get everyone they have under the salary cap.

Ya, all good points. The thing is, if Letang was healthy, this team is probably deeper / better than last year. So now with him out, that is rough BUT we have a better d-core than people give us credit for. No one else is a true #1 but Schulz stepped up huge and actually took the PP1 point spot away from Letang this year, when he was healthy. So him and Daley will be the big minute guys, which is still solid. Dumo, Maata, Cole, Hainsey and Streit. So that 7th guy is even pretty good. That is 1 thing that has me thinking we can still do some damage. As far as forwards, Sid's line is fantastic. Sheary is a stud now and Geuntzel is kinda what Sheary was last year. Geno will likely have Rust and Horqvist, which should be pretty solid. And if Hags does return, then HBK again. 4th line is still solid with Cullen, Kuhnhackle and Wilson. And a couple decent guys on the outside looking-in. So I'm really happy with this roster. Obviously, I'm hoping Murz is good to go, in net. If not, MAF can get the job done. I think we take out Columbus, but from there on we will see.

I'd love to see the Leafs advance. I like that team. I love watching Matthews. I don't think he actually gets enough credit for how complete of a player he is, at his age. It's just something you don't see hardly ever.

As far as disappointments, you are spot-on. I don't count Dallas only because I thought they over-achieved last year. I had TB winning the Cup (vs Chicago)in my pre-season pool. Guess I'm not winning that one.

Doesn't matter, no discipline for either, although the finger was more of a hockey play.
