Mr. Marv and ItalynStylion

13 years ago I was an MECP certified installer working on custom systems of all sorts. This was during my college days and after I graduated, I remained an audiophile, but pretty much gave up car audio all together. I can still speak intelligently about audio, but I had to dust off that part of my brain a little. When I decided to upgrade the system in my Tacoma I found some threads on here and started asking questions. The two guys that were most helpful in all of my research are listed in the title of this thread. Thank you to both Mr. Marv and ItalynStylion. First let me say that I ordered a custom speaker enclosure from Mr. Marv. The price was fair, the shipping was fair and the quality was PHENOMINAL! In all the years that I installed, built boxes, stealth trunks, fiberglass door and kick panel pods, I've never seen the scale of the quality that Marv provided. If you need a speaker box, Marv is your guy. Just send him a picture of what you want, and that's what you'll get.

Next - ItalynSylion. I've read all his comments and threads. He has great knowledge and isn't brand biased like many others tend to become when they are "in" to car audio. He offers free advice and gave me lots of things to think about with the upgrade. Add to that that he's built a killer system in his Tacoma and has won some SQ competitions and he's definitely a great source to get advice from. I have noticed that some of you disagree or argue for the sake of argument with his posts. For those, all I can say is that the guy is talented and knowledgeable regardless of whether or not you always agree.

Haven't dealt with Mr Marv but Steven (ItalynSylion) helped me with some Eclipse stuff, he was a huge help.

 

Aww, thanks guys! I do what I can to help whenever possible. I think sometimes people get caught up in "brands" and I know I get kinda pissed about it (sorry) but I'd never suggest you anything I myself wouldn't use.

The important thing to remember is that every product a good brand sells isn't good. Every product a bad brand sells isn't bad. And just because you haven't head of the brand; doesn't mean it isn't killer stuff

and to Marv ad IS i would have to say thanks too... Marv is currently making a box for me and both times i have called to talk to him have been very enjoyable...a call that should have only been max a 5 min update turned into a 40 min- 1hour long chat about everything under the sun!! haha but i loved tlaking with him every min of it. And IS is very knowledgeable and helpful and a cool guy to chat to...i def. wanna meet ya doooode!!

Nayce. I spent two weeks in upstate NY driving one just like that in red. My client had it hidden in his garage under cover. Had about 1k miles on it. It was fun.

 

Its a fun car thats for sure. I just acquired it and am now doing some fixer uppers on it and what not.

 

I worked on a 91 NSX about 3 years ago. I'll have to see if I can dig up the pics, it was an alarm and stereo job.

We got everything from Science of Speed, they make the dash kit and mounting hardware, not cheap, but well worth it.

I couldnt agree more, ItalynStylion is a great resource and helped me out with some audio on my truck. I thank you sir for answering questions and reassuring me on some aspects of my install.
Mr Marv, I have never dealt with him but from many posts I can see this guy does quality work.
