You should have come yesterday on a ride with my neighbor and me. We went to silver spring, woodbine, Frederick, lovettsville, and then back home. The roads in woodbine are awesome! I'm definitely going back there.

Is there a KTM dealer in Frederick?

Oh I'm not "worried" about it ;) just curious what is considered the chicken strip since I would've thought mine would be bigger, but I guess I'm leaning more than I thought

The ones I just got? Just tried them on to see if they fit so far, I'll probably go riding with them tomorrow and report back.

I like my other TCX shoes but I shouldn't have gotten the waterproof versions because they don't breathe well at all and my feet get real sweaty. That, and they are fairly tough leather up to the ankles so I have to loosen the laces a lot to get my feet in and out...so most of the time I wear my work boots or A-Stars boots since they aren't such a PITA to put on and off.

Yes there's a KTM dealer in Frederick MD and in Woodbridge.

I'll probably call each and make sure either/both have the 350's in stock before I ride up/down there, since I don't trust the website inventory lists.

The 1290 is the most powerful hooligan machine out there. That's the bike I want, but can't justify...

I'm going to be jealous if you get a KTM 350. I want one of those or a Yamaha YZ250FX next.

I saw @CanisLupus on the road today. Let him test ride my FZ09 in B mode (rain mode). Just to make the decisions harder for him.

After that, we decided to get groms

When I say hooligan I mean being able to jump curbs, go up hills, and general fucking around an urban area as well as going out to trails.

From everything I've seen, the KTM is the best dual sport out there between power, weight, suspension, features etc. Definitely pricey but it does look way better than the WR, which shouldn't be a factor but damn it if it doesn't look badass. :anonymous:

 I love my 300 but couldn't imagine riding around with less than half the power of it. It would be so frustrating to be WOT all. the. time.

Thats what makes it fun... I think.

More power than a Ruckus, less than a sport bike

Yeah, the cost of the KTM was what pushed me to looking at the YZ250FX. I can't decide if I want my next dirt bike to be something already street legal or just get something that I can make street legal if I decide I want to ride on the road later.

It could certainly be converted for less than $2K I think, but I don't think there's any way I'd pay 8 grand for a dirt only bike. I'd rather just pay the extra $2K and have a street legal bike with the same ability as the YZ.

I like my grom as a third bike just to putt around on
    I like my YZ :anonymous:

Wheel and tire setups can be had for around 1k for 17s. Or you could just get a pair of decent street tires for the 21/19 or whatever it is
