I would get the full 3" lift until I put some weight on it. Correct? like bumpers, Cap.

Yes. Ride might be harsh, however.

What OME coil would best mimic a stock sport coil ride?

Thinking about the same lift and have the exact same truck.

    No.. no.

886 is not a 3" coil. It's an 885 with a heavier coil rate, so you'll see 2.5" or so.

    OEM is 530 lbs.

OME are all 590 lbs except the 886 which is 660 lbs. So, pick one that fits your lift height goals.

Lift height goals are 3''. At the same time I'd really rather not knock any fillings loose just to get 3''.

887 is the only 3" coil unless you're a 4 banger regular cab.

Not to thread hijack here, but recently I've become very frustrated with the horrible factory rake on this truck. The front is 2'' lower than the rear.

What if the goal is to lift 3' in the front and level the rear. The goal was to go OME with Dakars in the rear. Are the Dakars going to give me too much rear lift to get a level?

Dakar's give 2.75". Some people remove an overload or the 3rd leaf from the top for a more level look

Average Dakar lift I think is 2.75"

So, you'll have rake with 3" in front and Dakars in back.

But you lose suspension strength when you remove a leaf correct? In other words, your hind end will sag more with weight in the back.

You could also remove one of the overloads to drop height and keep capacity.

Correct. I have a full pack with the D29XL AAL for maximum stink bug and #EAF effect

So for a level effect with dakars I'm looking at adding a spacer or just having stiff AF coils?

887s are marginally stiffer than OEM.

886s will be both super stiff, and not 3 inches of lift.

If you want Dakar's in the rear, you have 2 options up front; (1) 885 coils with the 1/2 top plate spacer or (2) 887 coils that are a full 3 inches without the aforementioned 1/2" top plate spacer

886's with no weight up front (had skids sliders, but no bumper) and dakars in the rear. 265's for tires. Gives you some reference.

once I got the bumper on

Ride wasn't too bad either way. Was ruffer, but still better than a Hd truck.

And the ride a couple years later with 255's though and the OME add a leaf
