good question, both those vehicles were when I had very long hair..I started buzzing it before getting the Tacoma

Meguiars platinum paste wax

Meguiars quick detailer between washes

Pretty much anything Meguiars... I'm a total fan!

Just had a moment with a guy driving a Bilstein lifted FJ with BFG M/Ts and bronze wheels. We were both checking out each other's ride while stopped next to each other trying to get off Rt 2 at Alewife.

Damn traffic was horrible coming home from work. I guess everyone wanted to get home early before the rain.

 

The rain. And when it gets really dusty I open all the windows and drive fast

 

The FJ is like a mini dust storm/wind tunnel when the windows are open.

 

Haha ya it is. I want to get the weather tech window deflector things. I've heard they significantly cut down on wind noise when the windows are down. I've just got so much other more pressing items to spend money on, like food and daycare

 

They work well, but due to the shape of the FJs windows, I don't think they fit as snug as the Tacoma.
I made a window prop for the rear window out of a small turnbuckle. When I'm going on a trip, cracking the back window open a bit cuts down the wind noise.

 

Good to know. Ihave noticed opening it helps reduce the paper bag effect. I usually have it all the way open so my dog can stick his fat head out
