I bought new tires 285/75/16 on my standard 16" wheels, and i need new rims because my tires are rubbing againts my UCA. I'm thinking since I'm geting new rims ,why not get bigger tires? my question is: What's the bigest tire you can put on 16" rim?

diameter is not the issue width is
to run a 285 you need a 7.5 inch wide wheel a minimum
    most people run 8s

you could go 255/85/16 theyre a little bigger then a 33'' tire and a little over 10'' wide, or stick with 285/75/16 theyre shorter but wider. either way i wouldnt go no bigger then that. Do you have a lift?

It won't fit without some major trimming/chopping.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
exactly...they make 15" wide tires, but u need a rim wide enough to run it

    IIRC, they are 7.5" wide

better have a 6" lift or a 3" w/ chopping the body mount and lots of trimming of plastic
