Idyllwild Camping Trip April 14-16

I camp in this area quite often, but I have yet to do bee canyon. Here's a couple pictures of thomas mountain on new years this year. we also camped again in february and got a couple inches of snow.







Coming up the south side of thomas in the snow was pretty sketchy with all the mud and slush but going down the north side was smooth. I did both trips with just my GF, myself and the dog.

I should be at the trail head around 7:30-8pm on friday.

 

I sure miss the snow and fog up there.

 

It was a lot of fun except for packing up camp. hated every minute of packing shit up that was frozen or completely soaked.

 

When I lived up there the slight fog and snow (like in your pics) was my favorite time.

 

There's a reference to the log that took your rocker panel out somewhere in here. We burned that Fucker good. Wish I still had the video

 

Made a plan that I think works best for all. For those of us that are meeting Friday, we will be meeting at

Please let me know what time you can make it. I can meet up earlier on Sat if that works. I don't want to sit and wait on someone. We will be cramming a lot into a little time. For those of you showing up Friday night you will have to plan that out yourselves as Greg and I will be sitting by the fire drinking some single malt.

 

Pizza for bfast sat am? Or that's just the meet spot on sat?

 

I say we meet up there and do some trails for a while. Then go back for pizza in the PM.

We always do. You know this. Lol. I just ask cause there's some cats I haven't met yet so I figured I'd clear it. Bringing carne asada taco stuff for Friday night. Saturday night im warming left over pizza on my pizza warmer

 

Anybody going to have a stove or grill for carne asada? I could bring some Cardiff Crack (killer carne asada from Seaside Market).
