That's because it's a universal switch you can put literally anywhere.

You pick your favorite spot, install it there. The adhesive backing provides you flexibility in mounting it, basically anywhere but the carpet.

    Adhesive backing? No.
Looks like 3/4 inch round rocker switch with red LED.
Looking for suggestions on where to drill 3/4 inch hole.
    Preferably in the cab.

Have you considered upgrading the switch to something that doesn't require drilling?

A MicTuning switch is simple to wire, illuminated, and $12 or so and mounts in factory cutouts.

Got myself a project now. Anyone else have a seized bolt when trying to back it out of the housing? The other three on this pair came out like cake and the first pair I installed same thing. Per Iggy I had to cut the bracket to expose it to where it's at now. I'm guessing a need some narrow 10mm at this point. Just wanted to tell everyone how much fun I've been having.

    Plethora of "useless" shit
Yup, same happened to mine. One side just spun inside the fins. I got it out by wedging a thin open end wrench and then cranking that damn bolt forever until it snapped when it was about half way out. Can't quite recall what size I used but had a nut and bolt in my bike parts box that fit perfectly.

Tried the same thing and it just kept spinning. Honestly just venting because I don't think it's my responsibility to cut a bracket and so on. This wasn't a user error I've worked with tools my whole life. What if I didn't have a dremel on hand? I'd have to go buy one? I bought these to plug and play and I don't think that it's unjust to have a new one sent out and this one returned.

Man you sure do bitch a lot! It all started when things took longer than expected dur to things that were out of the hands of Iggy and Ramon. Enough is enough man. Grow up.
You ordered the wrong lights. Now you want to try to place blame on the seller for selling you what YOU ordered. Pretty damn lame of you if ya ask me. None of this would have happened if YOU didn't fuck up.
    Quit blaming others. Quit crying.

Lol. I didn't bitch at all and didn't carry on about ordering the wrong lights. I'm just not accustom to final sale and didn't read TC's. I had an off the record conversation with the seller and it was pretty professional and ordered the right lights. But I guess I should just accept a piece of equipment that's not brand new when you buy it brand new. Hmm new concept there.

I didn't mean for you to cut the bracket. I was going to offer to fix it if you sent in the light, but I wanted to make sure I had a replacement bracket.

Like I said in my PM it's a stainless bolt and nut. Once it's cross threaded or misaligned and the bolt galls it's not coming apart, it's basically welded together.

I'll send you a bracket and bolt if/when I have them available.

I was just bitching because I can't seem to win here. First one I owned and said oh I fucked up. Second one is an accident and shit happens. There was no other way to get to the bolt. At that point anyway so it made sense. I'm not on here ranting about oh worst vendor am I? No not at all. The light is perfect and I'm stoked on my other set. Geezus Christ do things get blown out of fucking Porportion on this site. If you had called me the other day there would have been a very good chance I called today and said hey help me out how do I get around this. If you get time that would be great

Just for the record. Iggy did right by me with the second set of lights which he didn't have to.

You have been passive aggressively bitching about every part of this GB. From the fact it took longer to get lights to this now.
I'm sure Iggy will fix the issue anyway.

I guess maybe I wasn't clear in my PMs, but my intention is to help you. I had this happen once before and the customer shipped the light to me and I fixed the problem, put the light back together and shipped it back.

I was hoping to do the same with you, but I wanted to check to see if I had brackets in the shop first.

What I did after removing the bracket is used a band saw to cut the bolt in half since you only have maybe 1 thread on. It's a straight shot through the heat sink fin to the bolt.

I still need to check my stock on the brackets, but I'm hoping I can just send that over and help you fix the problem, or you can send the light to back to me and I can get it fixed.

I just snipped the tip of the bracket so it's 100% reusable at this point. And as for @tacomgee he's your friend I'd say the same. If I came off P/A I apologize I was just fucking amping to get your product. The band saw seems like a good option. If I can get it all together which most likely I will it'll be fine. I just took your PM the wrong way. I'm a phone guy for the most part that's how I conduct all my business relationships. Anyway I think I've said enough. Formally apologize for the uproar.
