Gotta get my shiznits in order. People with dogs how did you make a decision to spend money (5k-6k) on your pet for medical or let it go?

well there ya go. my dog was blind and deaf...she passed away last year...my other dog had a nasal tumor. They wanted to remove his snout. Couldn't do it. Put him down too. double kick to the balls right there

 

That sucks man. I need to do about $1200 on my dog and i thought that was a lot.

Tough decision with a bit to take into account... At least in my mind. I never thought I'd spend a ton of money on a dog, but I spent over a grand covering half of a surgery for one that i don't even have or get to see (ex has her far far away). But... She's a happy dog now that it's done.

 

its all good, it was just a material object (that I loved)

 

I miss my dog, and now to cry myself to sleep....

When my dog was 4 we paid 5k because he had ruptured a disc in his back. I know if he would have been older we might not have made the same decision. I don't envy the choice you have to make. We consider our dogs members of the family.

yup same here, but hers in more of the upper neck, either its long term pain meds or surgery
