285/70-17's are nearly 33", pretty sure you'll need 3 inches or so of lift to put them under your truck

I have 2 3/4" currently, By the time I'm done with the full lift I will have a full 3" lift. Getting some adjustable UCA. Fit some 285/70R17's at the shop today Maybe at full stuff I'll rub but that's what a saw saw is for :D

when you guys stuff tires that are 10% oversize, do you change the final drive ratios to compensate, or just lug it when you're crawling ?

285s are generally accepted as the upper limit before regear. I had no trouble with acceleration, etc.

its not acceleration I'd be worried about as much as how slow I can go while crawling over gnarly terrain :D when I'm offroad I often wish my high range 1st gear was lower

hmm, if those are 17x7, they aren't wide enough for the 285/70s... they'd need to be 17x7.5

Talked with discount tire and need to go look at a few rims now. He has some level 8 punch and american outlaw regulator in 17x9. They have some pretty good prices for packages to.

Yeah I agree with the manual I also have a 6 speed and the gearing is kinda odd. I might look into a re gear if I don't like how it drives tho.

Just to give you an idea. This is for 1 center cap....new, but still.

A few years ago you could find these wheels and caps. But they're drying up...especially as a set of 4 with caps.
