Ah damn you sound like you are more up north than me. I have been wanting to hit highland and plattekill as well as killington. Man that would be a sick race to check out at Mt. St. Anne! I went through a bunch of iterations with my bikes until now I got a small fleet that suit any occasion.

Damn this thread, makes me itch to buy a new bike. Mine is perfectly functional, but being a 2010 is starting to become a bit too dated (26'r). I'm thinking about getting a fat bike or a plus hardtail instead of another FS bike. I live in Florida, and while you can find a few trails with more aggressive features, generally speaking it's flat. Roots, man-made features and hog damage are usually the most you're going to come across.

Anyone spend time on a fat or plus bike doing single track in Florida or a similar area? Feedback appreciated.

Nice, yeah looks like you are in VA? I'm in Rochester, NY so all of those places are 4-7 hours from me. They would be a haul for you. Snowshoe has a sweet bike park that I've been to before, but its the same distance as Highland and I would rather go there.

I went to every World Cup that was at Windham and I went to Mount Saint Anne the past 2 years. The races are so much fun and the riding is good too. Highly recommend checking it out if you can swing it! Would be quite the drive for you though.

Ill definitely keep those names in my head as i daily search pinbike. May extend my search area and conside shipping. Idk how i feel about that yet. But yea flow and features is definitely what gets me excited the most.
Where i grew up was amazing. We all hand bmx bikes. Lived in a small ish but bigger acerage neighborhood. Had a sweet flow trail we built through the woods with cool little natural features. Also built a sweet jump track right next to my house in a acre field. We spent about every day out there either riding or making the table tops bigger as we improved. If we didnt have a way to get the the local bmx park I miss those days hahahaha. Definitely glad i grew up in the era of no social media no crazy game systems and no smart phones.

So it sounds like you need to go to Highland or any DH park for that matter. Bailey mountain is in NC and I heard good things about it.

Yea man I think I grew up similar although there was SEGA!!!

I meant to cover payment, if you don't have a paypal account then I wouldn't even consider online shopping for a used bike. The cool thing about PB is this, if they have been on there for a few months and havnt gotten banned and even have a selling history (some delete previously sold items constantly) than they are likely worth the risk. The mods on PB are very good at marking someone on their profile as a scammer, and depending on the gravity of the scam they can be banned/limited/cant sell anything for a few months to forever. Most guys who pull this shit on there have no intention of being on PB for the long haul although some decide after a while to try it.

Regardless, pay through paypal as goods and not as friends and demand a tracking number from the seller. Honestly, its beneficial for the seller to provide a tracking number, or else if things go south its much harder for them to prove they sent the item. If you see any weird shit, request an investigation and likely within a week or less it will be resolved and you will at worst get your money back or the games end and the bike arrives.

I went to bailey two years back a few months after they got up and running. Supposedly Neko has his own road gap that I don't want to even comprehend if you mess up on.

I like those moves at highland, nice one footer to kick off the vid!

It's not worth that much, even if it's in mint condition, you could probably get the same bike but 4 years newer for 1k

Im hoping this is a good place to post. I have a DCSB with a hard shell and am looking at upgrading my bike rack. I really like the tray style racks because you can just set your bike in super easy. However I have seen some reviews saying they don't hold up well to rough roads. Can anyone here tell me your experience with running them? Or suggest a brand? I was also looking at NSR 4 rack that seems to be pretty stable but is vertical rather than horizontal.

That's a pretty decent deal actually, as long as everything's functioning correctly, the wheels are true, and the frame isn't damaged it's a solid bike for 1900$

Since you have a shell, have you considered getting the tailgate mat? I have the Yakima two tray style bike carrier that attaches via the hitch. It has some play in the hitch where I can see guys complain about it moving in rough roads, but I have no problems when shuttling. Love the rack.

The hitch rack game has a bunch of different options. In my opinion, after using almost every option, the 1UpUSA rack is the best rack you can buy. The Thule, Yakima, and KUAT racks all cost more than the equivalent 1UpUSA Racks. The 1UpUSA rack is made from 6061 aluminum and all of the others use plastic in one form or another which is prone to breaking and getting worn in the sun. They also use steel instead of aluminum, which is prone to rust.

Here is a good review PinkBike just did on the 1Up rack: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/1up-usa-quik-rack-review-2017.html

I've had mine for 5 years without a single issue. Before that I had a Thule rack and it broke within 1 year.

Some key points about the 1Up rack:
    -Easy to load/unload
-Can still fold tailgate down without bikes on the rack
    -Wont rust
    -Theft prevention bolts
-Uses a ball wedge design to make sure there is no wobble in the rack
-You can buy add-ons up to 4 bikes maybe 6?
    -Lightweight (compared to the others)
-Can fold up for easy storage
-Rack never comes into contact with anything but the tires
