The paint job itself makes it worth $5000. Look at how shittily the area around the fenders was painted. Even with that crap quality camera I can tell that was a shit job.

I also LOL'd at the side facing light bars

That is a funny ad. Seller has a good sense of humor. I think he knows it and considers his sense of humor a $12k premium over the realistic price of his truck on a good day. It would be fun to get your buddies ripped and drive them around on dirt roads in the bench seat on the bed cage though. The side facing light bars are good for zombies and night hunting aka poaching lol.

That paint job is something to be laughed at and I like that kind of colored bed liner. To not mask and paint the side view mirrors separately and then wavy line around the fenders just shows someone the paintjob was diy first timer status. The incorrect touch up paint on the fender dent and the double fender flares on the passenger side only (?) set it off nicely. Hope he gets his price o_O

20k is just not even close to what its worth. well something is worth as much as someone is willing to pay, but these prices are outrageous. the bubble will pop eventually. too much hysteria around these trucks

From what I've seen dealers charge a 10-25% premium over private sales - that would stand to reason for a perfect condition 04 double cab. Still too much in my opinion.

lol I was just thinking of the pelfrey bumper / your bumper swap we had talked about. Keep waiting for them to come out with the new design lol. Still bumperless over here.

If someday I get the chance of front bumper , I will look for the one that hook perfectly with the upgraded skid plate, they sale bundle bumper and skid plate, I believe someone mentioned in TW ( all pro ? ) that covers the gap protecting more the radiator

Anyways , returning to the topic of this thread , I bet someone will pay them the 20K since CA no rust ( assumption) and 1 owner, but need the timing belt WP change, the carfax record didnt show that done yet..

Trail gear makes a good one that works with aftermarket skids. Keep an eye on this thread if you want to spend a little more, but get top quality stuff for your front bumper & skid:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1st-gen-love.471568/

I read at least one negative review of the all-pro setup, but don't have any experience with it personally. They make good stuff, but I don't like how the skid only works with their bumper. It would be nice to purchase it by itself.

$15k for 2001 double cab 4x4, non-TRD, with horrible and unsafe 6" lift.
Spacers on front suspension. Spacers on spindles. Block spacers on rear. So cheap, it's not even the Fabtech 6" drop bracket lift.

definitely some kind of "kit" as all the pieces are designed to work in conjunction. even if they are spacers.

    but yeah, no thanks.
