    Nice!

Anthony also added more bolt holes to his... he said he has something like 14 bolts holding his bumper on IIRC

Need more pics and a very lengthy write up, and maybe some scale drawings......

Oh, it's coming. Lots of links as well. You'll particularly enjoy the articles on the varying quality control standards of steel production. Mostly, highlighting where, by region, the finished product falls on the microscopic porosity scale (MPS).

Riveting stuff. You'll never look at steel the same again.

But your bumper is going to stick out a 1/4" more now. :stirthepot:

Oh saw all the 1/4" talk, thought that's what the frame horn mounts would be too. Looks like a beefy plan man.

I think it'll get the job done without being crazy overkill. MUCH stronger than factory. I imagine a lot of that factory stuff is intended to crumple though.

Oh most definitely. Luckily I was able to remove my crush cans and since my bumpers meant to be mounted to a welded crossmember anyway, I was able to control how beefy Ant and I made it. Best thing you can do is learn from what's happened to others and preemptively beef up whatever you can like you have been doing.

On the one hand, crumple zones are important, on the other, bending your frame hitting a rock would really suck.

    Yup. It does suck.

    Crumple zones are for pansies.

    And Mitch.

Well if crumple zones are for pansies and Mitch wouldn't that make Mitch a pansie?
