    Why modify anything?

It's a hobby... I want a truck to do long distance travel in. I thought a Toyota would be reliable and be a quality vehicle. When my steering wheel shakes like I'm on square wheels since brand new and the dealer gives no fucks... It's getting old. People ask me why it rides like shit, I just have to tell them that's how it came from the factory.

Every time i drive something that drives smooth it irks me when i get behind the wheel of the truck. I'm not going to throw a ton of money at it trying to figure out what's wrong with it... That the dealer should've done.

When i came back from SF and driving a beat on smart car... I thought a tire was flat on my truck, then realized it had just been so long since i drove it that I wasn't used to the vibrations... But then it became normal again.

I could spend a ton on taxes and keep it, or find something that I can comfortably drive on the highway. I planned on getting a turd gen... But, needless to say, Toyota lost my money by their lack of service then the sad excuse for a brand new vehicle IMO.

I'm confused. Won't throw money at it to fix it but will throw money at it to sell it.

Blindly chasing a vibration that has been there since new will get expensive... I've eliminated the sway bar, shocks/springs/wheels and tires. But I'm not going to replace every suspension component hoping that i figure out what was the issue from the factory.

And at this point it's a little late in the game. I just need to stop driving other people's vehicles that don't ride like shit, and I'll forget about it. :D

It's not something that'll happen overnight, but there's not much chance I'll have it by the end of the year.

Sure I'll still spend my money, maybe on it until that time comes...

The only question at this point is two vehicles or one... maybe I'll end up with a premier gen taco since I've always wanted one.

Where are you from? Mine rides like a dream, I'd be more than happy to meet up and track down what's wrong if you're close by to where I'm moving. 27 days left til I move to Montrose.

Just SAS that bitch. I mean, with the addition of the rooftop wall it only seems like the next step.

I'm in Golden. I was going to swap wheels with @iRideMTB but it appears to not be them since it doesn't rotate with them.

Fuck yeah, V8 power ftw. You won't give a shit about the shaky steering wheel.

Errr no. I said reliable long distance travel, not driving over boulders at ant speeds.

Nope.. I go to camp to get away from crowds. Unless I'm being paid to be there, but even then it's not likely.

You have much to learn. Solid axle vehicles have been driving coast to coast before you were a gleam in your daddy's eye.

Totally understand. Maybe we can meet up to camp sometime. I'm looking to be out and about every other weekend as much of the year as I can. It's a vibration you're dealing with, right?

Not swapped ones. :p stock ones.

A lot of wasted money for swapping IMO unless it's to clear a new engine or something.

Yeah just steering wheel shake and general vehicle massage at highway speeds. Since brand new, only came back to mind recently after driving a non shaky vehicle for a bit. Feels like a shitty balance on a tire up front.

but, but, but, but, how much have you already spent on it?
You could do the LS1 swap too if it would make you feel better about clearing something.
