Sounds like a no-go on the K&N. I'm installing a double-din Pioneer head unit tomorrow night.

You want my Volant? I just took it off for the stock intake. I'll sell it to ya cheap as I have no need for it

New sound is on my list as well. I want to put sound insulation ahead of this modification. With the present road noise, a new head unit would be a horse before the cart thing.

I want my music to be heard doing 80 on the xway as well as carry on a conversation with my wife at the same time. Presently, its one or the other.

I hate that about mine too.

RAAM matting the crap out of mine this summer. All 4 doors, back wall, roof, and under the dash as much as possible.

Thank you guys for your input about seat belts. I will not take a chance to leave 300+ bucks belts at the airport, because some security guy will figure out it may be to dangerous to let them in check-in bag. Shipping to Poland is not economical option, as it costs many times more than shipping within USA.

I think I will just order them locally - it will take about 2 months to get them, but no shipping cost, no tax and no risk. Local price is the same as price from for example camelbacktoyota on-line, only the lead time is longer. I'm glad LCA and UCA don't have explosives, so at least I can bring them with me.

    raamaudio is your friend.

I did both doors and rear wall and it was a huge difference in noise reduction and huge improvement to the audio system.

So what are the negatives of lift shackles? I may have impulsively bought some and installed them tonight. :spy:

Depends on how much extra length. The tend to rotate the pinion up, and flatten the rear of the springs, hanging down in the back more than you want.

Developed a really bad clunk sound, Sound like metal on metal in the front drivers side.
Going over dips in the road or turning to the left made it worse.
I did a little searching and it seems a lot of people have the same problem.
I found what was causing mine and I could not believe what it was. I have attached a video to show what it was.

At times it would make a really loud sound like a hammer hitting steel.

Causes the leafs to go negative more before bump. More droop. More leverage on the leaf packs so they don't last as long.
