    Good color choice.

A question for other 2017 Pro owners - anyone receive their truck with odd paint in their suspension attachment points?

I've got pink and purple paint all over the underside of my truck. This picture may be too dark, but this is what I am seeing. It's at pretty much each connection point.

It's not a bad thing.... just can't figure out why....

I have the rainbow paint on my suspension and wheel lug nuts as well. Already washed the paint off the lug nuts, too lazy to bother with the suspension components. I'm sure it'll come off with use.

Probably just some protective coating from the factory.

    Excellent. Thanks for the confirmation.

I was thinking my truck may have been used for some sort of training exercise in how to put together a truck..... not confidence building!

Those marks are done by inspectors and quality control to ensure that everything has been checked and tightened.

None yet really. Fold-a-cover G4 Elite tonneau cover. Will get new tires...
i hear a slight squeak when driving along that sounds like it is coming from rear bed area. I've pushed down on the rear bed/tail while stationary to try and replicate, without success. Any ideas?

Yep, those paint marks are to be sure the Fasteners are torqued.

Jayteedo - I do get a squeak or more often a "clunk" from below the rear suspension when pushing down or pushing side-to-side on the back.

I figured its just part of the deal with a truck like this.

If anyone has more thoughts.... holler.

Well I have just Passed 1200mi. mark and the truck is doing fine. The ride and comfort is way better than my JK. It is my first time having leather seats and I find myself trying to keep them spotless. As far as my transmission, it was a little sporadic at first but has since smoothed out. Fuel around town is right at 18-19.

I've had my pro for five months now... just hit 5K miles. I'm perfectly satisfied.

At first, I thought there was a seal problem on my rear doors because I had wind noise that made it sound (to me) like a door wasn't shut all the way. But then I drove friend's pro and two other friend's TRD ORs... all had the same noise going on. I guess my previous car was just quiet AF and I was spoiled.

I too have a weird clunk that sometimes occurs when I hit a bump or dip in the road at an angle at low speed. It honestly almost sounds like stability control kicking on for a second, but I never see dash lights when it happens. I mainly notice it when I turn on to the road I live on, as there is a little drainage dip where my street meets the main road. I hit that at the right angle and right speed, I hear the noise.

Also, my gas mileage around town ain't great. If I do a whole tank of pure city driving and putting around town, I'll get like 14mpg. But I live in a very hilly area. Not many opportunities for coasting. I get 22-24mpg on long highway trips.

I'm still kicking around the idea of going with the FN FX Pro 17s and some 275/70/17 rubber... I'm not sure I really dig the factory TRD Pro wheels, and I love the more aggressive offset on the FN FX Pros.

Also, my wife has an 08 TRD Rugged Trail... driving that thing down a rutted out bumpy trail and then driving my Pro is like night and day. The 08 bounces all over the place, and does not feel too controllable at speed. The Pro could bomb down the same trail at 50mph and not spill my coffee. It's amazing. I also noticed a HUGE difference between my Pro and my friend's 2017 TRD OR when driving down the same rutted out trail. I'm really happy I sprung for the Pro and have a truck with all the mods I'd put on a TRD OR, but with a 10yr/100K warranty.

One thing I need to find... I need a template for the TACOMA lettering on the tailgate. I have a commercial vinyl printer at work and I want to print out a matte black fill for that lettering. It just seems like it should be black and not body color. If anybody here has that template, or knows somebody that has that template... I'd be stoked to get a hold of it.

Funny, my MPG is the opposite, 19~20 round town and 14~16 on highway. But I've only got about 800 miles of highway, and 800 of city to go by.

you do realize the only differences are seats, suspension. wheels, shift knob, trd cat back as standard, and cosmetic stuff, the rest is the same as a trd off road

I fixed my door seal noise issue with some well placed felt and a little trial-and-error. Totally quiet now. It was so annoying having wind noise right by my ear at highway speeds.

Any of the PRO owners have rear end seepage problems? Some people refer to it as a leaky rear differential.

I know the recall does not include the OR or PRO, but some OR owners are reporting leaks.

Please go buy all the Pro parts separately and see what kind of figure you come up with. Headlights, fog lights, skid plate, wheels, exhaust, leather interior, suspension, shifter. And you say fraction of the cost, what a joke c'mon man you know all those parts added up is a pretty penny!
