i posted it on the overland bound forums too. seem to be a few interested in going. it will be pretty cool to see all the other rigs out there other than toyotas.

 

shit I was planning on going but that looks like an absolute shit show
I may not go if that is the case idk if my body has his truck back then we are going to do a shake down run but if not then idk

 

they said they will be in area 5? idk lol. i may just meet up with someone that is going and knows hollister somewhat. that way i can find a spot and then mess around. if its too busy then i can at least spend the weekend camping/eating/drinking and looking at the other trucks

 

Seriously, be busy as shit but fun no doubt.
Hopefully my work can hire now that the freeze is lifted. I hate working weekends with summer coming up.

 

Last time I did the Rubicon was the marlin crawler weekend in my 85 pickup. Total cluster btw. I got to rubicon springs before I realized I broke a main leaf on my front end... no spare.

Needless to say I spend a good part of my day walking around making friends. Turns out "Oakdale Gary" (my nickname), a guy who I've bought parts from in the past, hooked me up with some clamps that got me home.

Anyway I met some really cool people and saw some incredible builds who/which I probably wouldn't have interacted with if I didn't have a "need".

Turns out the toyota 4x4 community is top notch in my experience and large groups can be a ton of fun. Particularly if you put yourself out there to meet people.
