Top of the line tools are not needed IMHO. I worked 20+ years in industrial maintenance with mostly Craftsman tools, I can count my Snap-On tools on one hand, no Mac, no Matco, all my boxes are Craftsman (5) and never had any tool debt. A friend of mine works at a dealership in the auto body shop and has a full Matco set that he won't tell me how much he spent on it. "Too much" is all he'll say.

I have those little victories too. Like not getting back sprayed in the face while pressure washing the opening to a septic tank...

...and rattlesnakes. I've heard of around a dozen sightings already this year and it's not even hot yet, but evidently warm enough for the reptiles to be out and about.

 

With all the rain I am expecting a lot of snake and spiders this year.

 

I bought two Snap On tool boxes over a 12 yr period , that was $17k total . Total tool cost over the same time period was $10k

 

I've already seen 5 rattle snakes over the last few days hiking in the mtns !!!

 

They should be a lot of them in the next few weeks as this is the time baby rattle snakes are born

I remember back in 2010 while on a section of the Mojave road /trail the rattle snakes were so bad and hundreds seen . you couldn't get out of your jeep without fear of being bit

 

My pockets are not that deep.. Lol...
