Increase load capacity question

    I am a contractor and installed the following items on stock suspension to expand the use of my '15 Tacoma DCLB 4x4.

    TruckVault 180 lbs
    Bedslide 200 lbs
    Camper Shell 180 lbs
    Roof rack 60 lbs
    Cargo 100lbs constant and occasionally more depends on the day
    Total 720lbs + or -

    After install, I have noticed the rear suspension seems to be a bit stressed. The rear is slightly lower than the front and rear bottoms out on smaller bumps. This presents an issue because I am constantly carrying roughly half the weight of the trucks maximum payload capacity and any additional load only worsens the ride quality/safety/lifespan of stock suspension.



    I am looking for insight on suspension set ups for increased load capacity to be used for 70% highway use, 25% touring semi rough terrain job sites and 5% sandy/beach camp/cruises. A modest lift (2" max) is ok with me if necessary.

    After reading several hundred lift threads I believe expedition style leafs are the way to go for increased load capacity. The OME Dakars are fairly common and increase the load capacity however, also increase the lift height to 2 3/4" - 3" which will require me to also install new struts/coils front and rear struts to keep it level.

    Any recommendations on a turn key complete setup that will increase load capacity and keep my truck level/stock 1" rake?

    Is there a leaf manufacturer which produces a quality expedition leaf spring to stock height, 1" or 2"?

    Is an AAL a viable option?

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Pretty sure those 'lifts' are unloaded. If you are lugging the weight all the time you won't see that lift amount.

    Make it easy. Call Marie @ headstrong offroad. You did a good job describing your goals, so she'll be able to get you set up with the right gear.

    Locker mod, fog light on, seatbelt chime, map lights on& led so far.
    I bought a set off T.W. they were used and without hardware and lines. I put it all together and put them on and I am impressed with the way they handle loads now. I believe they are ride right as well. But totally worth the investment. I am now currently getting a leveling valve and a tank together to put an auto fill system on it. To hell with filling and emptying them. I like easy

    No more bottoming out and my stock rake is back.
