    Not really.

Probably tried to hit it and realized it would've produced more casualties to clear it and just flushed 'em out the easy way.

Sadly, too many Green Beanies have perished in the sands. Most likely, it was target of opportunity. All during MAObamas term, the Rules of Engagement (ROE's) were a joke. While I was in Afghanistan, working in the Joint Operations Center(JOC) in 2013, one man sat next to the JOC Chief and his Sgt. Major. The Chief was usually a Green Beanie Major, as was the Sgt. Major. And who was the guy who sat next to them? A freakin JAG officer. For the uninitiated, that is a lawyer from the Judge Advocate Generals office. When you have to consult a lawyer before you can snuff out a bad guy, somethings wrong. Somethings very very wrong.

The strike came just days after a Green Beret was killed fighting ISIS in Nangarhar, however, a U.S. defense official told Fox News the bombing had nothing to do with that casualty.

“It was the right weapon for the right target, and not in retaliation,” the official said.

    exactly...

this country uses military tactic, not going tit for tat based on casualties

I just find it weird how fox goes and uses a tittle like

"US drops largest non-nuclear bomb in Afghanistan after Green Beret killed"

    but the US official states

"the bombing had nothing to do with that casualty."

if it sells news they will use it. Such is the case with media.

    That is awesome though.
Nobama would never have cleared a strike like that. Saves alot of potential casualties
