Does ECGS normally do the solid pinion spacer in their assemblies?

No. It's an extra option you have to select when picking your diff options. 40 bucks extra I think or something.

Glad it was brought up. For the $40 or whatever it's def worth it.

    Some progress.

Wire wheeled the fuck out of the spindle and prepped it for paint. Hit it with some phosphotizing too.

    Primed and painted.

Dropped it off for final assembly.

Next up was finishing my vinyl floor install. This was a huge pain in the ass. Even though it's "molded" to our trucks, getting everything to line up is a bitch. Also they give you excess and you need to cut it to fit perfect. Also there are no holes so you need to make all your own. I am not 100% happy with the fit but it's the best I got it.

This is how I had it sitting before I started reassembly.

I had to do a bit of work to get the center console stuff to sit lower. Mostly grinding plastic/metal and drilling new holes. I had to do this because I had no jute padding underneath like you would for the carpet and i didn't want a shit gap and have everything floating an inch in the air.

I still need to do the lid covers.

This side is all buttoned up. Drivers side is waiting on another project.

Got my second paranoid panel today. Thanks @paranoid56 ! Going to actually mount it to my CB for my future switches.

I compared it to the switches I have in my tool box and the buttons should clear the CB controls nicely.

Also got my 33 tooth and new front diff drain and fill plugs from Toyota in preparation for my diffs!

Apparently as normal as you can get with 5.29's is 5 off but that's not bad at all. Otherwise this would be me every time I drive.

Lol for what? Resale? I'll be buried with this truck. Besides anywhere past 200k "most" people don't want anyway. :p

    So worth it.
My stock speedo gear with 315s and 5.29s indicates WAY over reality, so I was racking up miles like crazy. It's still indicating fast, but not nearly as bad as it was.

Spindles now have all new OEM UBJ's, shields, bearings, and seals. Hoping to be good with this setup for 100k miles of dirt.

Hey Mike, did you do the tack weld mod? Or was that @Robmonster117?

Driving back from Lakewood on Thursday, I did notice a little bit of slop in the center of the steering range, which makes me think it's probably the slip joint.

I just did it recently. It tightened up steering really well, tracking on the highway is alot smoother. I use to have to overturn the wheel to over come that no steer zone at center
