    I had a job offer to change companies two years ago. Decent offer but I didn't take it. Why? The time off package was 2 weeks personal time off. No negotiating - 2 weeks total for sick, personal, vacation, etc... And this was for a European medical devices company. I thought those European companies had good benefits!

    The top 50 employer that I work for now changed their insurance package in 2012. The package with the best coverage has a family deductible (3 or more people) of $12k per year. Awful lot of money to have to fork out before the insurance starts to pay. Luckily, my wife works for the school system so we still have a decent plan.
