The holes that were drilled in your bumper, reuse those. Just shift the license plate up so that you were using the bottom two holes on the license plate that get screwed into the holes that were already in your bumper.

Yeah, that was my initial idea. But I don't like the looks of it. I guess time to make hitch license plate holder or something.

 

Guess you didn't like my idea? That's the exact reason why I drilled two new holes mid plate. Using the bottom ones looks funny because it sticks up too high.

 

Would def follow the build thread if started, Ive been toying with the idea of converting my pre runner as well

 

I don't want to drill two mid holes in my license plates either. Sorry. They were costly $$$ to me

 

Someone posted a pic, where they had a vinyl copy made of the plate, and stuck that on the front bumper...

 

Put in the work for a new suspension setup and placed new decals made by CBoy! Now to save up for some new shoes...

 

You had to pay for your plates? That's interesting.

 

Those are custom made plates that cost around $300 Canadian. I could've got the regular ones, but preferred to pay more and get what I want.

 

Ahhh, then I'm entirely with you on that one. That's not cheap at all.

EDIT: On the plus side, there's a couple options on Amazon for a hitch mounted license plate mount.

 

I have no scientific data to back this theory up so take it with a grain of salt....or a bucket.

In years past normal engine oil was crap and the engines leaked so much contamination that was always the rule. The thought was you could clean the contamination out of old oil by installing a new filter. I believe that thought process has always been flawed.

I would argue now that the oil is much better but it is the additives that are used in the oil that break down and cause the oil to degrade. Additionally the engines have a much better seal at the rings etc that the oil doesn't get nearly as contaminated from combustion and other sources. I would guess that it would take 10 or more oil changes to plug up a filter that was never changed. By keeping fresh oil in the engine the additives would continue to do their job of reducing sludge and resisting breakdown from the combustion contaminates.

I still wouldn't suggest to do an oil change without changing the filter as well. How much insurance is a $6 filter worth. Let the storm begin.

Planning on spending all day Saturday in the garage installing my lift.

Can anyone point me to where I can find the proper torque specs for the various bolts?

I'm guessing they are listed in one of the maintenace manuals but I dont really want to drop the money on one.

Replacing UCAs, springs, and adding a rear AAL. So that would be the UCA bolt, top hat bolts (if that's what they are called), shock mount to the LCA, rear shock mounts, rear center pins, rear Ubolts, and rear shackle bolts... I think that's about it

Please don't roast me...

Edit:

Ubolts and rear shocks are 75.
Center pins don't matter.
