Does anyone with an SWR meter in Denver want to help me tune my antenna and let me buy you a beer?

 

Anyone near Westminster have a bench top drill press (capable of doing 300 rpm) I could borrow for a few days in exchange for some adult beverages? I intend to pull my Dakar leaf springs apart and drill holes for isolator pads but the thought of hand drilling all of those in spring steel doesn't sound too appealing.

 

Jack has a mag drill.

My friend with the white 1st gen single cab has a stripped oil pan drain bolt.
He just called me wondering what the next step should be. It appears it was stripped when the oil was changed last. The bolt is still in the hole, it just spins, both ways. It's not leaking either which is kind of strange.

I told him to call the parts stores and see if there is an oversized, self tapping repair plug for it first.

If that doesn't pan out, no pun intended,
what are options?

I was thinking of drilling and tapping it for a bigger bolt, easy solution but runs the risk of metal shavings in the pan. I suppose I could flush it with a few quarts of really cheap oil, not run it, just pour it straight through and hope it gets any shavings that stayed near the drain.

Or welding a nut with a bolt and O ring to the bottom of the pan and then that will become the new drain plug.

Thoughts?

 

They should have a single and sometimes a double oversized.
